  | Kung Fu Panda for the Xbox 360 | |
My Breif Statement
Kung Fu Panda is just like the other movie based games out there, with some action and fun but repetitive and bored em gets to you in time of course unless your a kid or a adult with a kids mind or had a couple to many to drink and feel like being a Panda that can kick some serious butt, but if your none of the above then maybe you want to check out another game to play as this one might not be the one for you.
GamePlay
This game really captures the feel and look of the movie that it is based on other then your playing it and not siting at a movie theater watching it ha. The game can get repetitive can become disjointing if you have not seen the movie yet. Pretty much the game was made for those who want to live out their favorite character Po in the movie. Still a great game for kids to play as the adventures and kicking butt will keep them playing for a couple hours so you can rest your eyes ha. For the Dragon warrior saviour Po at the beginning his skills might not be that great but you can advance them by hitting up the training room to get them up their. Throughout the game you will take on the croc, boar, and ninja cat gangs of Peace Valley as they try to capitalize on the bad guy Tai Lung's Return.
Throughout the game you will be mostly playing the Kung Fu Panda Po, but also during the game there are a few chapters that you assume the role of Po's sensei Master Shifu and also as well as the Furious Five Members, Mantis, Tigress, Monkey, Crane and Viper and each having there own unique skill set. For example when your playing the Monkey your striking blows with your tail and lashing out and with Master Shifu who has the ability to skull hop between enemy's and take them out. You wont have a problem kicking butt and taking names. The single player campaign should not take you to long only a few hours to get through it. Could be less if you do the minimum required objectives rather then doing advanced tasks and exploring or looking for rare items, you can get this game done rather quickly.

But if your like one of those average gamers or hardcore gamers you want to get everything done that you can in a game and with some of these collectibles they unlock game features, even though multiplayer mode is open right away for playing there is a lot of modes and characters that are locked that you will not be able to play until you get all the collectibles and hidden figurines scattered throughout the levels and also another bonus is some short video clips taking right from the film. Even though most are really short don't go to far out of your way to go back replaying the levels to find them, they are not really worth the time and if you seen the movie whats the point right?
The game controls are rather simple to use, your left analog stick moves your character around and you use two attack buttons and when you hold one of them down it will charge up a more powerful attack. After defeating your foes some drop orbs that when you pick them up it restores Po's Chi, which is a form of energy for special attacks. Also to refill your health there is a bunch of dumpling baskets laying around throughout the levels that you smash and consume, so you should not need to worry about dieing in this game at least not to much. Through the game beating up my foes and boss's was pretty easy even with the last boss all i did was a move that made Po roll around on the ground and i would roll right into him and he could not touch me, yes that easy, there was a couple parts were you had to hit a few buttons but they tell you right on the screen which ones to hit pretty simple if you ask me.
MultiPlayer
After playing the single player campaign part of the game your getting all ready to take your kung fu skills online well guess what, no online support for this game so your stuck playing offline. Guess that's good for your kid or kids they can just sit there and play the minigames they have available. They will be able to battle alongside three other friends in such minigames as shameless Super Smash Bros, and Brawl clone, picture matching and bejewelled-esque icon matching column game. Other then that, pretty much that's all Kung Fu Panda Game has got for us.
Graphics and Sound
While playing the game to me the outdoor environments did not seem all that great but once you went indoors the detail was much greater. Some of the characters were made pretty good, but others were made more wooden or came across not looking like the ones in the movie. For sound it was pretty good not to much i can say on that, it was pretty clear and went well with the gameplay that i could tell.
Final Statement
Kung Fu Panda the video game tried to bring out the humor, fun and also the look of the film which they did succeed in certain parts of the game but with a lot of its repetitive gameplay it really did not make it that enjoyable of a game were i would want to play it again and again. Seems more of a kids game but still can be a little entertaining for adults to just for a little bit i guess.
